Clipping the Church
Clipping the Church, was a new public project by artist Tereza Buskova celebrating and reinterpreting the almost forgotten British tradition of Clipping the Church. Buskova treated this historic custom as a point of departure for a new performance and a video work exploring motherhood, the meaning of rituals, family ties and relationships.Taking place in Erdington, an area in North-East Birmingham, the project and final film also involved the local community in a procession through the town.
I managed the PR for the project, gaining coverage in arts publications such as a-n, as well as local print, online and broadcast media.
